A Picture of Davido and a UB girl? True or Not?
Happy Sunday MK Readers,
Hope you guys are having a lovely day. Me I di vex oo. I am in no way a gossip blogger and do not intend to be one but this got me mad and i just had to address it. I felt a Facebook post will not be sufficient so i decided to blog about it.
I say eh! Why are some Camer men/boys like this? Why do they find pleasure in tarnishing the image of Cameroon especially UB girls? I went to that school you know? And I can swear that not every UB girl is the same. Still don't know what I am talking about?
Well, Nigerian superstar David Adedeji Adeleke aka Davido was in Cameroon this weekend for a grand concert that was held last night. And according to one guy (didn't care to know who he is), a UB girl slept with him and took a picture. (Proof Below)

Fashion Police: AFRIMMA Awards 2016
Hi MK Readers,
Hope you all are having an amazing week. As you all know last weekend was the African Music Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) held in Dallas on the 15th of October and for the very first time, I was opportune to attend an event as a blogger. It was very well organized and I was happy that most of the nominees were able to make it for the show. Artists like Daphne, Stanley Enow, Locko, Dancer Brenda Dery and their managers were all present. Some of the nominees such as Franko, Charlotte Dipanda, Reniss and Mr Adrenaline did not make it for reasons best known to them. The event was fun with Stanley Enow and Locko opening the show, awards presented by Magasco and a number of African celebs, great performance from artists like Sauti sol, Kcee, Kaffy Dance Group, Bovi, Flavour and a host of others. Unfortunately I was late for the red carpet, So i was only able to take pictures of the artists/ celebs after the show. I also took pictures of Cameroonians who slayed at the event.

Fashion Police - Buea Fashion Week
Hi lovely MK Readers,
I know you have been waiting for this post like teachers waiting for their monthly salary. So I apologies for the delay. As usual it was due to circumstances beyond my control. Anyway, let me cut off the gimmicks and dive in. As we all might or might not know, the first 'season' of Buea Fashion Week organized by Cameroon designer Reneta Ndisang took place on from the 12th - 14th of May. Well, as a first time event, I must say the organizer(s), did the best they could, some things could be better but let's just wait and see the next season coming up in November (allegedly). That said, the turn out was Really! Really! Really! poor. There were barely any 'celebs' at the event, I mean even the Buea level ones. It got me wondering if it was that they weren't invited, or as usual (in normal Cameroonian behavior), they are waiting for the event to become big and popular before they can attend. Me I no di understand wona oo. Even small upcoming artists, actresses etc couldn't make it to the event?. Chaii. That's why you guys will forever remain upcoming. *Honestly! If wona for attend wona picture for dey my blog now. Much needed exposure and recognition*, if you like ask Actress Malvis Ann. Anyway I don talk ma own.

Advise:
- To Artists, Actors etc etc: If you are up coming or planning to get into the entertainment industry, you should attack every single event till you can attack no more. From the smallest to the biggest event. You should be everywhere at all times Because you never know who is watching. An event is never too small.
- To organizers: You have to have a business mind. It doesn't matter if it is your first event or 50th event, you always need people to talk about it. And for people to talk about your event you need to have 'talk worthy' people at your event (Better people). It won't hurt to give out 5 - 10 free invitations to important personalities who will give your event the recognition and buzz it needs. I am just saying.
Now that I have aired my mind. Below are all the pictures my photographer and I could come up with.

Fashion Police: Cameroon International Film Festival - White Party
Hey lovely MKB Readers,
How are you all doing today? I know you have been waiting for this post so I will go right to it. This post is going to cover some red carpet looks for the CAMIFF White Party held on the 29th of April. It was a party, not a formal occasion so you will see a lot of short, 'club - like', casual outfits and that is ok. A few days ago on Facebook, someone said "Cameroon is ready for a fashion police", My response is, "If Cameroon is not ready for a fashion police then Cameroon is not ready to have 'celebrities' or an entertainment industry". It's that simple.
Fashion Tips - HAIR:
Ladies, If you have been reading my blog, You would have noticed that I always complain about the hairstyles on the red carpet. That is because your hair can make or mare a really nice outfit.
Ponytails and buns: You should wear your hair in a ponytail or low/high buns when wearing a dress with a sweetheart neck line, one shoulder, or a dress with an intricate, and show stopping neckline.
Hair down, Off shoulder or Side: If your dress shows off a lot of skin e.g open back, deep V neckline etc etc, you might want to keep your hair down, off shoulder or to the side. This covers up some of the extra 'skin' while keeping your outfit sexy. Also if your outfit has a simple neckline, turtle necks, High necklines, simple basic outfits then you can style your hair up or down. it doesn't matter.
Disclaimer: When it comes to hair, one rule doesn't fit all, since all outfits have different variations of style, color etc. So these are just some guidelines, you still have to make sure it goes with your specific outfit.
I apologize for the poor quality of the pictures.

Actress Malvin Ann:
I absolutely love this jumpsuit by Mareta West. It fits her perfectly. Also the neckline of the jumpsuit is the first I have seen and it works. It makes the jumpsuit unique. I also love her hair, and simple accessories. A simple earring would have been nice. However, see looks great #slayed.

Fashion Police: Cameroon International Film Festival (CAMIFF)
Hi MKB Readers,
How
has your week been? Hopefully not too stressful, TGIF. I will like to
thank you for all your love and support. It means a lot. You guys push
me to be better and encourage me to never give up and it means more than
you will ever know. Your lovely messages and comments make my day.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
So, as you guys already know, the Cameroon International Film Festival (CAMIFF)
has been taking place in Buea Mountain Hotel from the 26th - 30th of
April and the event has brought together actors from all over the world.
Veteran Nigerian Actor - Ramsey Noah, Bollywood Actors, Ghana based Cameroon Actress - Okawa Shaznay, Pulse TV Presenter - Joan Ngomba
and many others. This Fashion police post is going to cover outfits
from the opening ceremony, MTN night and African Magic Night.
Disclaimer:
A very talented and inspirational Cameroon Actor - Kang Quintus
had this to say "This is a FILM FESTIVAL not an Award Night. The
opening days of film
festivals are meant for film screenings, workshops, conferences, and
training about film making or the art. The last day of the festival
which is the closing/awards night is the big night! That is when all the
glamour comes in!".
He made me understand why Ramsey Noah dressed the way he did because
quite frankly, I was mad when I saw his outfit. However, Mr Quintus has
helped me calm down and have a sense of reason. Moving forward, I
suggest that event organizers clearly state the dress code for their
events because many actors and actresses did not get the memo and I
don't blame them at all. Honestly, I was beginning to wonder why there
was a red carpet for all 5 days. It's a little too much. Anyway, What do
i know? I am not an actor. That being said, even if you have to dress
simple/casual, you can still be stylish.

Fashion Police: Fredash International Annual Fashion Avenue (FIAFA) Red Carpet.
Hey MKB Readers,
Hope you all are having a lovely week. I can't believe we are coming to the end of April. It seems like just yesterday we were shouting "Happy New Year" and now we are almost half way into the year. It is a wa oo! lol. We should always be thankful to God for his blessings. Anyway, to the matter at hand. Last weekend, the 4th annual FIAFA event went down at Chariot Hotel Buea. I was so delighted to watch the event from Kreef Entertainment's snap chat (please don't judge me, na my own reality TV that). The event was very organized and full of lovely designs, models and designers. Not forgetting our celebs, Hahaha. Where there are CELEBS!, There is FASHION POLICE. No bi so??? * wona answer abeg*. I have decided to add a fashion tip with every fashion police post to help our celebs and my readers make better fashion/ style choices.
FASHION TIP OF THE DAY - SHOES!
Ladies:
- You don't have to own many shoes if you can't afford them. However, there are some shoes you MUST have in your closet. At least ONE pump and ONE single sole sandals (Google am now).
- You should have a good number of nude and black shoes in different styles before you go into buying shoes infunny other colors. Why? Because nude and black goes with EVERYTHING. You can never go wrong with those two colors. When in doubt, wear a black or nude shoe. However the style of the shoe will depend on the outfit.
Guys:
- You all need to invest in at least one good moccasin or 'gentleman'/ classy shoe. I am tired of seeing sneakers on the red carpet. * News flash!* They don't go with everything.
- When in doubt, go with a black and brown shoe. In fact you should all own a good black and/ or brown shoe.
Here are the celebs who killed, trashed, or were mediocre the red carpet. Disclaimer: This is purely my opinion.
Photo credit: A big THANK YOU to Fredash, Pam Happi aka Miss P, Ebangha Nkwanyuo and all those who posted pictures on Facebook. Thanks for making this post possible.

Fashion Police - Urban Jamz Awards 2016
Hi MKB Readers,
How have you all been doing? The weather has been getting warmer here and I couldn't be happier. As some of you might know, last weekend was the Urban Jamz Awards held in Buea. I was blessed to watch itstress free on Kreef Entertainment's snap-chat (If you aren't following them, please do. They provide a front stage view of concerts, tours and events and 24 hours Q & As with Cameroon artists, entertainers and celebs). I must say the organizers of the show did a great job, probably the best Cameroon award show I have watched, but of course there is always room for improvement. However, this post is about the red carpet outfits, they were hmmm, Let's take a look abeg. Just thinking aloud - Was there a dress code for this event? because all man be jo di wear anything way e want. Most of the celebs dressed very casual, so I presume, the dress code was Casual chic.

If this was Ini's wedding then may be this dress could have been on the best dresses list. May be oo, just may be. But to wear a wedding dress to an award is just ridiculous and the fitting of the dress was off in some places. I might have loved it if it was in another color but ermmm .... This lady has been my fashion muse since before I even knew what fashion was and she has never let me down. Her shoe came is like no other and can she rock the hell out of any red carpet. Damn! She is definitely my favorite look of the night. Her green asymmetrical satin dress by Elvira Jude. The waist piece is EVERYTHING and this dress will be nothing without it. I love the fact that she knew to wear very minimal accessories in order not to take away from the dress. Love, Love, love. Hair to toe slayage!!Fashion Police: Best Dresses Men @ The 2016 AMVCA

The event was star studded with celebrities from all over Africa and you know wherever there are Celebs there is fashion; the good, the bad and the ugly. A couple of male celebs happened to rock the same look, so let's check them out. First up
Uti Nwachukwu Vs Falz The Bad Guy:
They both look great in a mustard one button suit However there has to be a win. And the winner is .... Drum roll please! .............. UTI. He nailed it head to toe. Love everything about his look including the red flower (i know!). Falz looks great too but his choice of shoes is not the best. A black shoe, black bow tie and black pocket squares could have taken his look to another level.

Cameroon Duo - RYTHMZ Is On The Money
My favorite Cameroon music
group RYTHMZ, released the video of their single “Me & You” under XM MUSIC.
This song comes after “Dancia” a featuring with Cameroon’s biggest boy band
X-MALEYA, sometime last year. “Me & You” is a love song. Love lost, love
found, no matter the distance, no matter the time, whether who stands for or
against it, once its real, it shall always be for two, hence the title “Me
& You”. This song was done in the new genre of music, propagated by the
band called ‘AFROBIKOSSA”. AFROBIKOSSA is a mixture of Afropop, Makossa &
Bikutsi.
NGOMA IS BACK!!!!!
Cameroonian rapper and song-writer Ngoma presents the video to his song “Ekié” directed by Adah Akenji.
After releasing his first single "Afe Nkap" in 2014, the rapper has decided to make a come back to the music scene offering another rhythm to his fans and leaving his prints on the Cameroon urban music platform with his song “Ekié”. Ngoma describes "Ekié" as a musical trend where he expresses his appreciation of the female 'physic' because to him “women are art and special beings”. “Ekié” is a common term used in Cameroon to express great surprise or amazement. In essence, "Ekié" embodies a local and harmonic rhythm followed by a mixture of languages taken spoken in Cameroon.
Meet Another Cameroonian female artist - Larryne Melh
The
long awaited "Just Kossa" music video is now available online on Vevo.
"Just Kossa" is the debut single of the Finnish-based Cameroonian
upcoming artist "Larryne Melh". This electrifying and captivating single
won this beautiful and talented artist "The best new Afrobeat artist in
Finland in 2014 ".
In
this inspirational musical piece, the Afro-pop sensation encourages the
world to seize a moment to dance their pains and sorrows away for life
is too short to waste it worrying about mistakes and regrets. The
video unveils the sexy, soft and energetic side of this astonishing
lady .The video was written and directed by “Larryne Melh”.
I love the beats and the lyrics, the song is very catchy. However, I wish the video had a better concept and better dance choreography. Overall, this is a great debut single, hope to see more from you. Keep up the great work, Larryne.

Songs Of the Week
Hey lovely people,
HAPPY NEW YEAR, 2016. I still can't believe how fast 2015 flew by. I know it has been a while since I blogged and honestly I missed you all. I don't want to go into all the longjuicy details of why I have been away for this long but as the year goes on you will find out #promise. It should be no news that 2015 was a crazy year for Cameroon music. So many new artists got their voices heard and got us dancing to a lot of new banging tunes. The music industry has improved in leaps and bounds since I started blogging 2 years ago and I couldn't be more proud. Today, I want to share 7 of my favorite Kamer songs right now. Hope you love them as much as I do and don't forget to drop a comment.
Locko is a soulful Afropop artist who broke into the music scene last year with his hit single Margo which was on everyone's lips for months and months. It is one of my favorite Kamer songs of all time (Don't let me go into explaining all the reasons why I love that song). *takes a deep breathe* Anyway, let me talk about the song at hand. In Ndutu, Locko expresses his love for Kamer ladies and just like Margo his lyrics is a prefect blend of English, French and Pidgin. The Lyrics, Vocals, Video concept and Beats makes this song a hit ( at least in my book).
